Waveney Strings

Tutors and Conductors: Many local professional musicians have shown a great interest in the Waveney Strings. We are very fortunate now to have developed an association with members of the outstanding Blythe String Quartet which is based in the Waveney area. They regularly attend rehearsals (and committee meetings) and one will conduct while others sit amongst us to guide those who need help. We also, from time to time have other guest conductors |

Conductors LIZ SKINNER. Liz is a local violinist and a member of the Blythe String Quartet. She shares conducting with DEBBIE WHOMES, the cellist in the quartet, and other guest conductors. Other members of the Blythe Quartet can also be available for tuition by arrangement. |

ANNA NOAKES was our guest conductor for our first session on 16 November 2008. Anna is Artistic Director of the Yoxford Arts and Music festival and Professor of Flute at Trinity College London. She lives locally. Enjoy first class music of all varieties in the fabulous Suffolk countryside.
